Ingredients
  • 1 cup roasted dalia
  • 2 tbsp oil or ghee
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • ½ cup crumbled paneer
  • ½ tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2.5 cups water
Instructions
  • 1 Heat oil/ghee; add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
  • 2 Add onion; sauté until golden.
  • 3 Add ginger-garlic paste; cook 30 seconds.
  • 4 Add chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala & salt; cook 1 minute.
  • 5 Add roasted dalia & crumbled paneer; mix gently.
  • 6 Add water; bring to boil.
  • 7 Cover and cook 10–12 minutes until dalia softens and water absorbs.
  • 8 Rest covered 5 minutes before serving hot.

  • 1 tsp urad dal

Instructions
  • 1 Heat oil; add mustard seeds, urad dal & peanuts; fry until golden.
  • 2 Add curry leaves, hing, onion & green chilies; sauté till translucent.
  • 3 Add roasted dalia & salt; sauté 1 minute.
  • 4 Add water; bring to a boil.
  • 5 Cover and cook 8–10 minutes until water absorbs.
  • 6 Switch off heat; add lemon juice & half the coriander.
  • 7 Mix lightly, rest 2 minutes, and serve.
